single bet calculator
OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I'd chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn't ever get my head round what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the one I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return instantly, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, yankees, and that's where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it's here super heinz and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that genuinely made a difference were the more serious tools. They've got an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you the overround, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too if I'm splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout is pretty plain — not much flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it's browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments.
